Day 1: Hanoi – Ban Don – Lan Ngoai Brocade Village – Hieu Waterfall
Depart from Hanoi and head to Pu Luong. Visit Ban Don to explore the peaceful life of the White Thai ethnic people. Stop by Lan Ngoai weaving village to learn about traditional brocade-making. Continue to Hieu Waterfall to relax and swim in nature. In the evening, enjoy dinner and join in cultural exchange activities.
Day 2: Full-Day Trekking (18km)
Trek through beautiful villages such as Ban Bang, Kho Muong, Bat Cave, Ban Pon, Ban Nua, and Ban Lung Cao. Discover scenic terraced fields, local life, and rich biodiversity. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the stream, then continue trekking before returning to the homestay for rest and dinner.
Day 3: Doan Market – Chieng Lau Village – Cham Stream – Chay Cave
Visit Doan Market, held on Thursdays and Sundays, for local crafts and specialties. Continue to Cham Stream to see giant bamboo waterwheels and try bamboo rafting or kayaking. Enjoy swimming in the clear stream before lunch. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon and end of tour.
PU LUONG (3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS)
DAY 1: Hanoi – Ban Đon – Lan Ngoai Brocade Weaving Village – Hieu Waterfall
7h00 – 7h30: Our vehicle and English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or at our office to begin the journey to Pu Luong (approximately 170 km, 4-hour drive). A 15-minute rest stop will be made in Hoa Binh.
11h30: Arrive in Pu Luong, enjoy lunch and check-in for a short rest.
13h30: Depart to visit Ban Đon by motorbike or by car to explore the peaceful and simple lifestyle of the White Thai ethnic people. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, scenic views of the forests, mountains, and beautiful terraced rice fields. On the way to Hieu Waterfall, stop by Lan Ngoai brocade weaving village to learn about the traditional White Thai handicrafts. At Hieu Waterfall, immerse yourself in nature, relax, and swim in the refreshing multi-tiered cascade surrounded by pristine jungle.
17h30: Return to the homestay for a rest.
19h00: Enjoy dinner and relax. Participate in some cultural and musical exchange activities. If the group is large, a traditional White Thai dance performance will be organized at the homestay.
DAY 2: Full-Day Trekking (18km):
Ban Bang – Kho Muong – Bat Cave – Ban Pon – Ban Nua – Stream – Ban Lung Cao
7h00: Have breakfast at the homestay.
8h00: Begin trekking from the homestay to Ban Bang, a charming little village nestled among stunning terraced fields – especially beautiful during rice harvesting or flooding season. Along the way, observe the daily life and unique culture of the White Thai people.Ban Bang is also picturesque thanks to two small streams flowing toward Kho MuongVillage, the first village within the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, located in a serene valley.Bat Cave (Hang Dơi – Kho Mường) is a fascinating site with impressive natural stalactite formations resembling to some animals. At different times of the year, various bat species inhabit the cave.
10h00: Continue trekking along a mountain trail to Ban Pon and Ban Lung Cao. On the way, stop at the hilltop for a panoramic view of Kho Muong valley. With some luck, you may spot monkeys, squirrels, or forest birds. After challenging inclines, arrive at Ban Pon, then follow a narrow path to reach Ban Nua. These three villages are located in Lung Cao commune, mainly inhabited by the Muong ethnic group.
12h30: Stop for a picnic lunch in a quiet spot – possibly by NuaStream, where guests can also enjoy a refreshing swim.
14h00 – 14h30: Continue trekking along the main road of Lung Cao commune, passing by local schools and reaching the soccer field.
16h00 – 16h30: Transfer by car from the soccer field in Lung Cao back to the homestay for rest.
18h00: Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the homestay.
DAY 3: Đoan Market – Chieng Lau Village – Cham Stream – Chay Cave
7h30: Wake up and enjoy breakfast. Take a leisurely walk to Đoan Market (held every Thursday and Sunday), where you can shop for local specialties and souvenirs. Continue on to Cham Stream to admire massive bamboo waterwheels and take part in a fun activity: bamboo rafting or kayaking on the crystal-clear stream. On the return, you may also enjoy a refreshing swim in the stream.
12h00: Have lunch and rest.
13h00: Depart by car for Hanoi.
18h30: Arrive back in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, ending the memorable 3 days / 2 nights Pu Luong journey.
