Exploring White Thai Ethnic Minority Villages
DAY 1:
9:00- Choose your bicycle. Departing from the hotel.
9:30- Cycling. We cycle 14km throught numerous b White Thai ethnic minority villages: Xom Lo – Mai Ha – Cu’m – Na Loc – Huoi – Muong Hich – Ngoa – Sun, before having a traditional and typical White Thai lunch at Madame Hue Homestay, a gem of a place.
11:30- Swimming & relaxing on the terrace.
Cyclists are invited to immerse themselves in a world of relaxation and entertainment, designed to enhance their stay in the picturesque surroundings of Ban Goa village. At Mai Chau Madame Hue, the combination of a relaxing poolside atmosphere with garden views, sun terrace and picnic area creates the perfect setting for a memorable lunch.
12:30- Lunch. Madame Hue's cooking is a real highlight — everything is fresh, tasty, and prepared with care. The staff are just incredible — so kind and welcoming, they really make you feel right at home. The homestay sits in front of the most beautiful rice fields with rolling hills in the distance, and the whole area is just stunning.
15:00- Walking. We walk 5km at a very slow pace through numerous villages with fabulous old houses on stilts surrounded by stunning rice-fields and corn fields.
16:00- River rafting. Here, you will enjoy traditional river bamboo rafting.
17:00- Relaxing. Back to the homestay to enjoy cocktails on the terrace or by the poolside.
19:00- Dinner at Madame Hue Homestay. Typical White Thai dishes will be served near the poolside.
21:00- Evening entertainment. White Thai dancing in Mai Chau is a vital, UNESCO-recognized cultural expression symbolizing community unity, labor, and spiritual devotion, particularly through the Xoe and Keng loog dances. White Thai bamboo stick dancing, known in Vietnam as Nhay sap or sometimes Keng loong, it is a high energy, rythmic performance characterized by dancers skillfully jumping in and out of bamboo poles that are clapped together by holders.
DAY 2:
8:00 – Breakfast. at Madame Hue Homestay
10:00 - Cycling back 14km through villages, rice-fields and banana plantations.
11:30 – Kayaking & swimming. Along the way, we stop to enjoy kayaking on the river and having some refreshments on the terrace.
13:30- Lunch. Cycling back 2km to have lunch at Mai Chau Garden Secret Restaurant Café.
15:30- Back to your hotel
